These are the online historical resources which will be used to test Armadillo. They all centre around eighteenth century London. In total there are thirteen datasets which the project would like to employ. They will be added to this list as they become available to us. It is also likely that other relevant datasets will be discovered and added as the project progresses.
The Old Bailey Proceedings Online [http://www.oldbaileyonline.org]
A fully searchable online edition of the largest body of texts detailing the lives of non-elite people ever published, containing accounts of over 100,000 criminal trials held at London's central criminal court.
The Westminster Historical Database
A database of Poll Books and Parish Rate Books relating to Parliamentary elections in Westminster between 1749 and 1820. In total, 12 surviving Westminster Poll Books have been digitised and supplemented by the addition of name and occupational codes. A further 9 Westminster Parish Rate Books compliment the Poll Books and enable a much fuller representation to be made of Westminster's voters, their
social standing and political preferences.
