This provies a bibliography of materials relating to manorial courts, a glossary of terms used in them, and surviving examples of manorial court architecture, prepared by Dr Brian Harrison (University of Keele).
This project, funded by the National Lottery Fund, aims to increase the awareness of the value of manorial court records as a source, and is currently running some workshops in how to read and interpret such materials. It will ultimately provide an online handlist of surviving manorial court materials in Cumbria.
