Tracker: Corrections

You are very welcome to let us know about significant errors in London Lives and we will do our best to correct them. You must be registered and logged in to add Corrections. When you are logged in you will be able to see a tab labelled 'Insert New Item' below: please click on this to open a new tracker submission. Please note that you will not be able to edit items after saving, so check the submission carefully.

We have limited resources to deal with corrections, and it may take a while for any revisions to appear on the website. We prioritise the following:

Errors in Personal names
Errors in Place names
Errors in Dates
Omissions from the original text
Missing or incorrect images

We will rarely correct minor typographical errors within the texts. It was never possible to apply the proofreading standards of traditional scholarly editions of sources to such a massive project. (See the main site's 'About this Project' page for an explanation of the methods used and their limitations.) Where a perfectly accurate reading of the text is required, users are advised to refer to the original page image files.
