Charles William Touyn? 1749

The victim is "Charles William Touyn" in the original. 'Touyn' is an extremely improbable surname - it seems likely that there was a reporting error or misreading by the printer here.
- It could be TONYN. A Charles William Tonyn was the father of General Patrick Tonyn (see also trial of Henry Weston 1796).
- Or maybe, thinking about early modern spelling variations, the 'u' could be either 'w' or 'v' - Towen/Town/Toven might all be more plausible surnames.
The transcription cannot be 'corrected'. But if we can find evidence of what the name really should be, it might be possible to make it searchable.
